If you have more space in your home, try setting up a home office in one of your rooms. Try to see if you can call your local college or university to find students who are willing to intern with you for free or at a rate you can afford to pay. If you would prefer to work with someone more mature in age, put a free ad in your local newspaper because there may be someone out there who is looking to make a career change, get a good reference, an immigrant who wants new homeland experience or someone who just wants to improve their work experience. There are a lot of people looking for work and who do want to work.
Also keep in mind that if you’re looking for space to invite someone or a group of people to a meeting and you don’t want to bring them into your home for a variety of reasons, restaurants and cafés serve as a choice. If you pick one not far from where you live, this will cut down on your travel expenses if you can just walk there.
