“We decided that what the world needs now is a little humor. So we created this book, I Had a Pet Frog, as a family project. Our talented daughter, 17 year old, Christine Liao created the illustrations and we wrote the copy. We also wanted to deliver humorous messages for people of all ages, and started the book by writing; “I Had a Pet Frog who liked to smoke. I told him it was an unhealthy habit. Then he croaked.” This also sends the message to our young ones that smoking is harmful to your health.” said authors, Dr. Wan-Yu Chao and Ronald Kerble. Dolphin was going to kill the dog because it had desecrated the tree. The tree was the most beautiful monument he had ever seen. He liked it because it reminded him of a snake and he loved snakes and though it was carved with the names of kids who’d been shot to death, it didn’t call them heroes and it didn’t call their killers evil. It simply remembered the dead and he liked that.

Lorian sat in the sand, his lap cold without the dog. He glared at the black and silver points of the waves. His father had no right to get rid of it. But Lorian figured he should have seen it coming because his father had never gone out of his way to make him happy.
Hubert Selby Jr. III is the deceased author of Requiem to a Dream, but it’s also the name of Laina Dawes white cat. Dawes named her cat after her favourite writer who did his craft without punctuation marks and looked at the bad side of human behaviour.
