“ABI: The Chapters of Our Lives”.
by Lisa Kakonge-Clayton
Hi All,
The FilmPossible competition has launched, and I wanted to highlight one of the entries by a group of clients from the Family Support Services/BIRT Outpatient program. I co-facilitated a project-based group last summer with Val Lusted, SW. The group worked on a video about their lived experiences with acquired brain injury, and really focused on the idea that their brain injury was only a part of their lives; albeit an important part, they felt that it does not define them now, or forever. I think they did a fabulous job expressing this in the video!
If you are so inclined, please take a look at their video and vote for them!! There are great prizes to be won, and it really gives them an opportunity to have their stories heard. You can register and vote EVERY DAY for the videos that you like!!!
Once again, the groups’ video is called “ABI: The Chapters of Our Lives”.

Thanks,
Lisa
PS – Thanks to Greg Vanden Kroonerberg for his fabulous editing of the video, and to Cristina and Vicky, our awesome volunteers!
