More than 30,000 kids in 14 communities across Alberta will benefit from the legacy of the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship

CALGARY, Dec. 23, 2011 /CNW/ – RBC has awarded a total of $70,000 in RBC Play Hockey Grants to 14 communities across Alberta in the lead-up to the 2012 IIHF World Junior Championship. Each $5,000 grant was given as part of the World Hockey Tour to commemorate the legacy of the World Juniors and recognize the efforts of associations that help people get started, get better and go further in hockey. Generous Canadians donated more than $170,000 to The Salvation Army
